Local food banks receive festive donations by Roger Bullivant for Christmas.

Collection

Roger Bullivant’s (RB) regional offices have come together to support this year’s urgent appeal to support local food banks, to ensure no one goes hungry this Christmas.

The team recently hand-delivered several packages which included Christmas crackers and treats, food donations, pet food, toiletries, and daily essential items.

Roger Bullivant donated an estimated sum of over eight hundred pounds worth of food supplies to foodbanks across Derbyshire, Manchester, Wales, and Scotland. Also, the company has made a direct financial contribution to the food bank, so that they could stock up on any missing essentials.

Petra Parker, Service Coordinator at South Derbyshire CVS said: “I would like to thank everyone that has participated in your collection and for choosing us as a recipient.

The demand for the food bank has dramatically increased since the start of the Pandemic and every donation makes a difference to somebody. Food Poverty is a Pandemic on its own but with the support from Companies and the Community we can make a difference.

With donations received before the Festive Season, we have now been able to provide additional Christmas treats with each Food bag that has been issued. We have so far been able to provide Families with 145 children and 70 Adult gifts alongside food bags issued.

So, to all of you, thank you on behalf of the South Derbyshire CVS”.

Joe Durkin, Co-Founder at Hebburn Helps said: “Thank you so much for choosing Hebburn Helps, this year has been very challenging especially during the current situation.

We have had a huge rise in the need for help within our community and the donation will make a big difference to the families we work with.

Thank you all so much from all at Hebburn Helps”

Cliff Wren, Managing Director at Roger Bullivant said: “Christmas can be one of the busiest times for food banks and they work incredibly hard to make sure that people get the support they need. This year it’s more important than ever that we come together to meet the increase in demand and spread some much-needed festive joy across the community.

We are incredibly proud of the sheer volume of donations raised by our employees across the region and are just one of many organisations playing its part”.
