Trainee Design and Estimating Engineer

We are looking for a graduate Civil Engineer to join the preconstruction team and become trained in design and estimating within the South Central Region, across all techniques undertaken by the business. This role provides much diversity, providing support to the design & estimating elements of the residential and non-residential business, ensuring compliance with the company management system and business strategy.

The successful candidate will assist in the management of incoming piling enquiries, including assessment of opportunities and allocation of tenders/designs and includes estimating, tendering and client interaction / negotiation to the point where orders are secured, and provide ongoing support throughout the life of a project if required.

  • Commercial Awareness – Basic knowledge of business operations, contracts, and project costing.
  • Problem-Solving Mindset – Proactive approach to identifying and resolving engineering challenges.
  • Qualification (essential) – Hold a civil engineering degree or similar field.  The role will include travel across the region, therefore a full UK driving licence is required.
