Setting Out Engineer
Based from our North East office, covering the Northern region of England, we are seeking a skilled and motivated Setting Out Engineer.
The role involves setting out for piling works including CFA, driven piles and precast foundations, interpreting drawings, maintaining site records, conducting site surveys and ensuring accurate positions and alignment of piles and foundations.

- Technical Knowledge - Understanding of construction drawings and specifications.
- Analytical Thinking – Ability to interpret data, problem-solve, and apply engineering concepts effectively.
- Attention to Detail – Ensuring accuracy in calculations, designs, and reports.
- Communication Skills – Strong verbal and written communication for technical reports and team collaboration.
- Teamwork & Collaboration – Ability to work effectively with colleagues across different departments.
- Adaptability & Willingness to Learn – Open to travelling across the UK and gaining hands-on experience.
- Driving licence (essential) - A full UK driving licence is required.
- Certification - CSCS card and relevant site certifications
- Software Proficiency – Good IT skills with proficiency in Microsoft packages.
- Health & Safety Awareness – Understanding of site safety and risk management principles.
- Problem-Solving Mindset – Proactive approach to identifying and resolving engineering challenges.
- Experience (essential) – Proven experience in setting out for piling or groundworks. Proficient with surveying equipment (GPS, Total Station).
