Mobile Fitter

We are currently looking for a Mobile Plant Fitter to cover sites across the Northern region of the UK. The person will be required to carry out maintenance and repairs on a variety of piling equipment and ancillaries on construction site.

The successful candidate must have good communication skills and the ability to work individually and as part of a small team. You must hold a full UK driving licence and a Level 2 qualification in Plant Maintenance or equivalent.

Experience and skill of fault-finding, maintenance and repair of heavy-duty construction plant and hydraulic systems would be ideal.

Auto electrical experience would also be preferable.

Based in the North

Covering sites across the Northern region of the UK.

Full Time

39 hours per week

Monday - Friday

  • Read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Ensure van is kept clean and road worthy.
  • Ensure van is kept stocked with tools, spares, and consumables.

 

  • Ensure suitable personal equipment and administration is kept on van in case of breakdown or overnight stay.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities are recorded in line with Departmental requirements.
  • Ensure duties are undertaken in accordance with company policies.
  • Undertake training to support role.
  • Complete other duties as reasonably requested.
  • Health and Safety Awareness – Understanding of site safety and risk management principles.
  • Problem-Solving Mindset – Proactive approach to identifying and resolving engineering challenges.
  • Site Experience – Any prior exposure to construction sites or engineering projects.
