Senior HR Advisor

We are looking for a Senior HR Advisor to support our joint venture project in Melton Mowbray.  The role would suit an experienced HR generalist, ready to take on a challenging role with an opportunity to work on both operational and strategic HR initiatives.

As part of the senior leadership team, the role involves:

  • Providing guidance on a range of employee relation issues, including disciplinaries, grievances, redundancies, performance management, attendance management
  • Coach, empower and challenge managers, taking initiative to build strong relationships and foster a collaborative work environment
  • Ownership of the recruitment process
  • Supporting the team with policy related queries and providing sound HR advice
  • Coordinating Occupational Health activities including appointment bookings, referrals, report reviews, and escalation where appropriate.
  • Taking ownership of succession planning and talent management strategies for the business.
  • All aspects of transactional HR including processing new starters, liaising with Payroll, maintaining HR database.

The successful person should have:

  • Solid experience in employee relations
  • As a minimum, Level 5 CIPD qualification or similar
  • Ideally, experience providing advice in a fast-paced manufacturing, engineering, construction or similar sector.
  • Strong communication skills and a confident manner
  • Excellent IT skills to work across a range of electronic packages and databases
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Operated at a HR Advisor or Senior HR Advisor level
  • Up to date knowledge of UK employment law

The is an autonomous role, however it will be supported by the wider HR team (remote).
