Design and Estimating Engineer
We are looking for a Design and Estimating Engineer to join the residential team in our Chorley office.
The role involves the design and estimating of piles and precast concrete ground beams for clients.
We are not looking for someone with previous experience as you will receive training from our Pre Construction Manager across all techniques.
You should be proficient with all Microsoft Office packages, have excellent attention to detail and understand the principles and theory of design/ estimating.

- Technical Knowledge – Understanding of civil engineering, geotechnics, or structural engineering principles.
- Analytical Thinking – Ability to interpret data, problem-solve, and apply engineering concepts effectively.
- Attention to Detail – Ensuring accuracy in calculations, designs, and reports.
- Communication Skills – Strong verbal and written communication for technical reports and team collaboration.
- Teamwork & Collaboration – Ability to work effectively with colleagues across different departments.
- Project Management Awareness – Understanding of planning, organisation, and time management in engineering projects.
- Qualifications (Essential) – Geotechnical/ civil engineering (or other relevant) degree
- Health & Safety Awareness – Understanding of site safety and risk management principles.
- Commercial Awareness – Basic knowledge of business operations, contracts, and project costing.
- Problem-Solving Mindset – Proactive approach to identifying and resolving engineering challenges.
- Site Experience (Desirable but Not Essential) – Any prior exposure to construction sites or engineering projects.
