Precast concrete piles

This pile may be used for all types of structures and foundations, from housing, commercial and industrial buildings to art installations and features. The piles can also be used for all types of civil engineering applications from bridges to embankment support, power and transmission towers and rail-related structures. Pile types are selected and designed for individual project requirements thereby minimising waste and improving cost-effectiveness. RB precast piles are manufactured in varying segmental lengths which are combined to reach required depths. This minimises waste and saves money.

Driven

Tubular Steel piles

Environmentally friendly recycled steel casings salvaged from redundant oil platforms, RB steel piles are suitable for driving in difficult or uncertain ground conditions up to 50m deep.  In hard driving conditions or where obstructions or boulders are encountered, the steel driven solution is the preferred option.

Where possible an RB combipile is the better solution – half steel tube, half precast.

CFA Piles

These piles are speedily installed and can cater for a variety of ground conditions.  They are cost-effective and can accommodate large working loads, depending on ground conditions.

RB CFA piles are formed using hollow stem auger boring techniques producing spoil arisings from the bores. As the auger flight is lifted, concrete is pumped into the bore under pressure and simultaneously fills the void left by the auger extraction. Reinforcement cage is then installed in the bore to form the pile.

CHD Piles

RB CHD Piles have the ability to form bored piles without producing any spoil makes this kind of pile particularly suitable for contaminated sites. This generates minimal vibration and noise. In most ground conditions, this pile is an ideal alternative to CFA (continuous flight auger). Enhanced load carrying capacity may be achieved compared with CFA piles of similar dimensions, due to compaction of the soil during boring.
